What we keep, what we don't.
Plain language. No tracking-pixel lawyering. Here's what data we touch, why, and how to get it back or deleted.

What we collect when you buy
When you place an order, Shopify collects your name, email, shipping address, and payment information. We see your name, email, address, and order details. We do not see or store payment card numbers — those go directly to our payment processor (Shopify Payments / Stripe).
Custom-order designs
If you order a Custom Crystal Shift Knob, you'll email us a reference image, sketch, or description after purchase. We store that material against your order so we can engrave it. We do not share it, post it publicly, or use it for marketing without your explicit permission.
Email and contact
If you contact us, we keep the thread so we can follow up. We do not sell or rent your email address to anyone. If you ask us to delete the thread, we'll do that.
Bluetooth pairing
If you pair a DYUHOP knob to your phone via Bluetooth, the communication is local between your phone and the knob. We don't receive any data from this pairing.
Analytics
We use Shopify's built-in analytics and may use Google Analytics to understand traffic patterns — what pages people land on, what they buy, where they drop off. These tools use cookies. You can opt out via your browser's cookie controls or our Privacy Choices page.
Cookies
Shopify sets cookies for cart functionality, login state, and basic analytics. Third-party scripts (if any) may set their own. We do not use ad-retargeting pixels.
Your rights
California residents: You have rights under CCPA — to know what we collect, to delete it, to opt out of any sale (we don't sell data).
EU / UK residents: You have rights under GDPR — access, rectification, erasure, portability, restriction of processing.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@thesniffy.com with your order number or registered email. We'll respond within 30 days.
Data retention
Order data: we keep it for as long as Shopify keeps merchant order data, which is at least 7 years for tax compliance.
Custom-order design files: we keep them for at least 1 year so we can re-cut or honor warranty claims, then delete on request.
Children
DYUHOP products are sold for use on private vehicles by adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
